In 2006, participants in Sinfonia Winds had the time of their lives:
“I had one of my most exalted musical experiences participating in … the Sinfonia Winds.” — Timothy Mullen, Rho Upsilon (Temple) ‘00
At the 2009 National Convention, an unprecedented number of Sinfonians will be able to collaborate musically with their brothers. With a wind ensemble, men’s chorus, and a jazz band, the Convention promises to be one of Sinfonia’s most musical conventions ever.
The brothers participating in the jazz band will have a particularly amazing opportunity to learn from Jamey Aebersold, the recipient of the Fraternity’s prestigious Man of Music Award. Brother Aebersold will be sitting in with the band on the Thursday night public concert.
By the way, rehearsals will be open rehearsals, so even those brothers not in the ensembles will be able to observe, learning from our world-class Sinfonian clinicians.
Every day, there are more and more reasons to come to Convention. Have you registered?!?!
